Vostok have been producing military and divers watches since the end of WWII. Originally founded in 1942, when parts of The First Moscow Watch Factory were evacuated to Chistopol, the company became an official supplier to the Soviet Government's Defence department. The iconic Komandirskie, or Commander's watch, was introduced in 1965 and is still produced and sold by us today. Following this the company produced the watch they are most well known for, the Amphibia Divers watch. By 1980 Vostok were producing these time pieces in the millions and after the fall of communism these watches were made available to our customers in the west. These rugged mechanical timepieces have gained a cult following amongst watch enthusiasts around the world who appreciate the vintage aesthetics and bulletproof Russian engineering.
